I wasn’t going to write the weekly Hit List today. My goal was to sleep in and take it easy today. But here I am, writing again. I guess I can’t help myself. The reason I’m tapping away on the keyboard this morning is because the past week has been hella emotional. Not just for me, but for plenty of other folks in my orbit. I’ve heard stories about breakups, breakdowns, and breakthroughs. Everything has been extra.
Of course, the answer is always the cosmos Mercury retrograde, Venus retrograde, Mars in emo Pisces, an impending eclipse – OH MY!
It’s so, so easy to blame the planets when life is messy. While I’m a firm believer that they do have an effect, we also have a role in how things unfold. When there is tension (astrological or otherwise) in the air, we can choose to lean into it or not. Taking responsibility for your life starts with YOU, not a lucky alignment of the “right” planets. Over the years, I’ve witnessed people sit back and do nothing when the stars are favorable while others have taken brave action when everything was stacked against them.
Again, it all comes down to the individual.
So tonight the planets are spelling drama but I’m choosing my usual Saturday night routine: old movies and popcorn. It’s the perfect activity when the Sun is in Cancer and an eclipse is on the way. But of course, I didn’t need a nod from the Universe to make this decision.
I caught a glimpse of this pretty pink peony on last night’s walk.
